Deana Marie Frolic

Deana Marie Frolic, born Jan. 19, 1978, passed away peacefully in Las Vegas surrounded by her family and friends after a courageous 17-month battle with cancer.  She was a charismatic person who spread her light on this world until her very last day March 12, 2019. 

Deana was born and raised in Rock Springs. She graduated from Rock Springs High School in 1996 and immediately started college at Western Wyoming Community College, where she graduated with an associate of science degree in 1999. She moved to Las Vegas to continue her education and earned her degree in kinesiology from UNLV in 2006. She continued to live in Las Vegas and worked at various places inside the Hard Rock Hotel and at the Wynn in the culinary department until her death. 

Deana made many lifelong friends during her school and working years who have remained by her side.

Deana is survived by her parents Dean and Sherrie Frolic, Peggy and Mike Gunyan;  siblings Heather Frolic, Heather and Jason Lee, Nate and Carrie Frolic, Saisha and Joe Montoya, and Jackie and Mike Jensen; companion Brynt Craig and his children, Jordyn and Jacob; nieces and nephews Sheena Cadena, Brendon (Amanda) Souther, Dylan (Vickie) Souther, Brittany Cadena, Kendra Cadena, Braydon Frolic, Kelcee Smith, Kylee Smith, Ashlie Frolic, Akira Lee, Savannah Montoya, River Lee, Emilee Jensen, Gene Montoya and Dean Jensen; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, great nephews and nieces and many loyal friends. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Lila and Stanley Frolich, Erma and Lloyd Kunz and Jerry and Edna Wyatt. 

A memorial service for Deana will take place in Las Vegas at 2 p.m., Saturday at 1034 Chaplet Court, Henderson Nev., 89074. Deana's cousin, Jason Heward, will perform her funeral services, which take place at 11 a.m., April 6, 2019, at the Rock Springs Evangelical Free Church, 125 Firestone Road, Rock Springs. Inurnment will follow at the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest next to her grandparents Lila and Stan Frolich.
