Meeting for the second time in as many weeks, the Green River High School tennis team walked off the court with a win against the Rock Springs Tigers.
The varsity players for both the girls and boys swept the Tigers in competition at GRHS Thursday.
For the Wolves, the second meeting with the Tigers continued the dominance they established a week prior during their first meeting against the Rock Springs squad. Prior to the Wolves second match with the Tigers, head coach Phil Harder said he hoped the team would play as well despite a slight change to their line up. Harder switched the team of Morgan Atkins and Rory Ratliff for Gabbie Heiser and Megan Counts.
The Wolves success carried over to their next competition against Rawlins, where the varsity team only dropped one game.
The Wolves face a grueling weekend against the three Cheyenne high school teams at home. Friday, the Wolves take on Cheyenne South in action starting at 1 p.m., at the GRHS tennis courts. The Wolves will then face the other two teams, Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central, Saturday. The Wolves start the day against East at 9 a.m., while they take on Central at 1 p.m.
Harder said Central is one of the teams he looks forward to playing because they often have a good team every year.

Shelbee McFadden defeated Michelle Butterfield in two sets, 6-3 and 6-2.
Audrie Harrison and Kelby Pope defeated Courtney Smith and Rachel Shuler in three sets, 2-6, 6-3 and 6-4.
Sydney Beutel and Kaitlynn Sharp defeated Maddie Corbitt and Aislyn Pecolar in two sets, 6-1 and 6-0.
Gabbie Heiser and Megan Counts defeated Josie Johnson and Favar Wanjuku in three sets, 6-2, 6-7(4-7) and 6-0.
Boys:
Caeden Grubb defeated Ian Fletcher in two sets, 6-1 and 6-1.
Danny Christensen defeated Kaeden Hansan in two sets, 6-0 and 6-1.
Jarrett Atkins and Connor Friel defeated Gunnar Hamblin and Bradyn Conover in two sets, 6-0 and 6-0.
Jon Leininger and Elliot Potter defeated Zach Smith and Kyler Van Valkenberg in two sets, 6-0 and 6-0.
Brett McKeehan and Jordan Anderson defeated Derek Lianberger and Shane Ramsey in two sets, 6-1 and 6-2.

Girls:
Cordova defeated Selena Landa in two sets, 6-4 and 6-4.
McFadden defeated Mackenzie Thompson in two sets, 2-6 and 7-6(7-1). Match ended in injury withdraw.
Harrison and Pope defeated Samantha Waring and Darby Thayer in two sets, 6-2 and 6-1.
Beutel and Sharp defeated Madelynn Kumlus and Alexis Townsend in two sets, 6-1 and 6-0.
Heiser and Counts defeated Laminah Sterward and Sharayah Lusch in two sets, 6-0 and 6-0.
Boys:
Grubb was defeated by Ryan Pfeffer in two sets, 4-6 and 4-6.
