Fires in both Green River and Rock Springs kept area firefighters busy during the past few days.
In Green River, the Green River Fire Department responded to an ATV fire Monday evening. According to information provided by the Green River Police Department, the fire was reported at 700 Shoshone Ave., at 7:10 p.m. According to Green River Fire Chief Mike Nomis, the owner said he had been riding the ATV and parked it at his residence, planning to go riding again. The ATV caught fire after it was parked.
"We're not sure if it was the fuel line," Nomis said, saying the cause of the fire is unknown...
