Clydesdales visit Green River Friday

August 1, 2018

The famous Budweiser Clydesdales will be stopping in Green River Friday afternoon, giving residents a chance to see the horses and get a photo with them near the newly-installed mural on Flaming Gorge Way.

According to Amanda Cavaz, communications administrator for Green River, the event is part of a two-day public relations campaign Western Wyoming Beverages is hosting in Rock Springs and Green River. The horses arrive in Green River at 1 p.m., at the Hitching Post Restaurant. Cavaz said the horses will make several stops at Green River bars during their three-hour visit to the city, posing for photos with the owners and staff at the businesses. However, Cavaz said the horses will be available for public photos during their stop at the county parking lot across from the Sweetwater County Courthouse, near the end of their visit. Afterward, the horses will visit the Green River Police Department before being loaded up at the Green River Visitors Center.
