Town filled with trick or treaters

Rylie Alkema and her mother Christa lead their group safely across the street on Tuesday afternoon. They were just a few of many who were out and about collecting candy.

Once again, children dressed up as witches, princesses, ninjas, super heroes and other characters and took to the streets in search of candy.

Besides Christmas and Easter, Halloween is probably a child's favorite holiday.

It's the one time of the year when children are encouraged to dress up as whatever they want to be and go around collecting candy from strangers.

Over the years, costumes have changed so children can dress up like whatever cartoon character is popular at the time, however, there are always the classics, including clowns, witches and scarecrows.
