Two members of the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County health care team have been promoted.
Sarah Roth is the new Director of Infection Prevention and Employee Health.
Melissa Anderson has accepted the position of Director of Acute Care Services, which means she is the nursing director for the intensive care and medical surgery units.
They are "amazing, talented and skilled nurses," MHSC Chief Nursing Officer Kristy Nielson, said. "I am excited for them – and for us – as they embark on new leadership adventures here at MHSC."
Anderson has been a nurse for 11 years, working in long-term care, medical surgical, ICU, corrections and ER. She now oversees the hospital's ICU for the critically ill, as well as the medical surgical unit.
"I love the Rock Springs community and look forward to continuing excellence in nursing care for them," Anderson said. "I am passionate about seamless nursing care for our community."
Roth has been a nurse for six years, working in ICU and home health. Prior to being a nurse, she was an environmental project manager for an engineering firm. She also has a bachelor's degree in biochemistry.
"I always wanted to get into health care," Roth said. "I'm excited about the challenge the new position presents and hope to be a resource to my fellow employees."
