Swimmers compete well in Gillette


A trip to Gillette gave the Green River High School girls swimming team a chance to get accustomed to the pool they will swim in at state, as well as a chance to compete against many of the other schools across the state.

The girls swam in the Gillette Friday and Saturday, taking fifth in Gillette Invite. The Lady Wolves finished behind Campbell County High School, Laramie High School, Sheridan High School and Cheyenne Central High School.

During the pre-invite Friday, the Lady Wolves ranked high in a number of events, taking second in the 200-yard medley relay, fourth in the 200-yard frees...
