Golden Hour Senior Center is offering a Smart Driver Safety Course to help older drivers stay safe, educated and confident behind the wheel. Everyone can benefit from a refresher course that helps them stay current with the rules of the road. With this course seniors will learn defensive driving techniques, proven safety strategies and new traffic laws and rules of the road. This program will help older drivers keep their independence and stay safe on the road.
There are no tests to pass. Seniors can simply sign up and learn. Upon completion, seniors could receive a multi-year discount on their car insurance.
The course will take place at the GHSC Wednesday Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The cost for an AARP member is $15 and $20 for non-members. Sign up at the GHSC or call the center at 307-872-3223 to reserve a seat.
