Demetrio Medina Jr.

Demetrio Medina Jr., 73, passed away Aug. 27, 2016, after a sudden illness.

A longtime resident of Green River, he lived in Ogden, Utah, for the last 10 years.

He was born June 12, 1943, in Rawlins, the son of Demetrio Medina and Amada Trujillo.

Medina worked at OCI for 42 years and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

His interests included wood working, fishing, hunting, and spending time with family.

Survivors include his wife Jan Medina of Ogden, Utah; two daughters, Lisa Herrera and husband James and Lezlie Hodges and husband Rick, all of Green River; two sons, Tony Medina and wife Dusty of Green River and JR Medina and wife Crystal of Salt Lake City; two stepdaughters, Raquel Hurst and husband Kelly and Krishna Quinney and husband Eddie, all of Ogden, Utah; three sisters, Gloria Reyes and husband Frank, Irene Medina, Jenny Krans and husband Rich of Green River; one brother-in-law, Joe Bernal of Green River; five grandchildren, Andrea Luce and husband Coulter of Rock Springs, Amanda Shepard and husband Randy, Gary Hodges of Green River, and Isabella Medina of Salt Lake City; great-grandchildren Kayden Shepard and Wyatt Shepard of Green River; three step-grandchildren Samantha Quinney, Wren Quinney and Kai Hurst, all of Ogden, Utah.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Lena Bernal.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Green river LDS Third Ward Chapel in Green River.

Friends and family may call one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
