John Calixte Bowker, 75, of Rock Springs passed away June 4, 2016 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County.
A lifelong resident of Rock Springs, Bowker died following a lengthy illness.
He was born on Oct. 24, 1940 in Rock Springs, the son of the late Wilfred Crofts Bowker and Anne Marie Bernet Bowker.
Bowker attended schools in Rock Springs, and was a 1958 graduate of the Rock Springs High School.
He and his family owned Bowker Contruction and he worked there for 42 years, retiring in 2007.
He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community.
His interests included spending time with his family, fishing, camping, traveling and construction work.
Survivors include brother Edward Bowker of Rock Springs; sister-in-law Judy Bowker of Rock Springs; several cousins, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Wilfred Bowker and a sister-in-law Marlene Bowker.
Memorial services took place Wednesday.
