Jennie M. Kuseck

Jennie M. Kuseck, 91, of Rock Springs, passed away June 1, 2016 at her home following a lengthy illness 

She was born on May 19, 1925 in Rock Springs, the daughter of the late Andrew Bernard and Mary Brelih Bernard. 

Kuseck attended schools in Rock Springs and was a 1943 graduate of the Rock Springs High School. 

She married Jino Roccabruna Feb. 27, 1949 at Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Rock Springs. They later divorced. She later married Joseph Kuseck in Ogden, Utah, May 29, 1964 and he preceded her in death Jan. 2, 2001. 

Kuseck worked her entire life. She first worked for Mountain Bell from 1943 to 1951 as a telephone operator. She worked at Union Mercantile, Pacific Meat Market and Ben's Foodliner as a clerk for many years.  

She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community and was also a member of C.C.W. She helped serve and cook for many funeral dinners while also volunteering her time at the Soup Kitchen. 

She loved spending her time in the kitchen baking and cooking for her family.  She created beautiful embroidery work and was a voracious reader. Other interests included spending time with family and friends completing jigsaw puzzles and sharing memories from the past. 

Survivors include son Rick Roccabruna and wife Diane of Rock Springs; daughter Janice Mann and husband Rob of Rock Springs; two sisters, Theresa Fenske and husband Gene of Helena, Mont. and Helen May of Lander; sister-in-law Elsie Dolence; brother-in-law John Petrovich of Salt Lake City; five grandchildren, Jarod Mann and wife Amber, Michael Mann and companion Kyla Koppenhafer, Elizabeth Mann and fiancé Jordan Bunot, Ricco Roccabruna and Amber Roccabruna; great-grandchildren Kodee Mann and Lane Mann; many cousins, nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother Andrew Bernard; three sisters, Alice May, Margie Bernard and Mary Faigl; sisters-in-law Rose Petrovich and Frances Francis. 

A mass of Christian burial took place Monday.

Pallbearers were Ricco Roccabruna, Jarod Mann, Michael Mann, Joe Faigl, Dave Faigl, and Bob Faigl.

The family of Jennie M. Kuseck respectfully suggests that donations in her memory be made to Red Desert Humane Society, Hospice of Sweetwater County or the Elevator Fund, 116 Broadway, Rock Springs.
