Couple plans to marry in July in Laramie

Bonnie Carissa Blalock and Gary Lee Collins II, together with their families, recently announced their engagement and upcoming wedding.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Ben Blalock and Becky Fischer of Laramie.

She has a bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Wyoming and a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Denver. She moved from Denver to Rock Springs in 2014 and is a substance abuse counselor at Southwest Counseling Services.

The prospective groom is the son of Pearl Arguello-Moon of Rock Springs and Gary Collins Sr., of Greenville, Ky. A Green River native, Collins moved back to Wyoming in 2005 after working and going to school in Las Vegas.

He is the public relations and marketing director for Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County where he has been employed for 10 years. He has also served on numerous local boards and committees.

Blalock and Collins live in Rock Springs and plan to stay in the area after their wedding.

The couple is planning a July wedding in Laramie at the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center.
