Julie Ann Edwards Proberts

Julie Ann Edwards Proberts, 55, of Wamsutter, passed away March 11, 2016 at her home.

A resident of Wamsutter since 2008 and former resident of Salina, Kan., Proberts died following a brief illness.

She was born on April 22, 1960 in Hendricks, Minn., the daughter of Douglas and Eva Vermillion Edwards.

Proberts attended schools in Salina, Kan. and was a 1978 graduate of the Salina Central High School.

She married Michael Proberts in Salina, Kan. on May 26, 1996.

Proberts was a payroll clerk for Haystacks, Incorporated for approximately six years.

She was a Boy Scout Leader in Salina, Kan. and enjoyed reading and helping people.  Her son Blake was her pride and joy.  She loved attending his musical performances in choir and band.  

She is survived by her husband Michael Proberts of Wamsutter; her mother Eva Edwards of Salida, Kan .; two sons, Blake Proberts and Michael G. Proberts, II, both of Wamsutter; one daughter Amanda Bowden of Enterprise, Ala .; one brother Scott Edwards of Temple, Texas; one sister Pamela Edwards of Salina, Kan .; two grandchildren Brently Bowden and Jason Bowden.

She was preceded in death by her father Douglas Edwards, one aunt Helen Edwards and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Following cremation, memorial services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Friday at the Wamsutter Baptist Church. Reverend Dean Switzer will conduct the services.
