During the Last Chance Meet Thursday afternoon, a few Green River students got a shot at competing in an event.
Students from the school district's adaptive physical education program swam in a 50-yard freestyle race. The competition is the brainchild of head swimming coach Colleen Seiloff and adaptive physical education teacher Tracy Giesenhagen. Giesenhagen said the race was the first of its kind hosted in Green River and hopes to make it an annual event for her students.
