GRHS takes long-jump event at BYU invite


It was a surprising start to the indoor track season for Green River.

Their first meet, at BYU, resulted in a first-place win in the long jump and solid times for the runners.

Head coach Steve Boyd said first indoor track meets the Wolves compete at are often used to gauge where individual competitors are in regards to their conditioning and skill. While he admits the team needs to focus on improving their conditioning, he said the biggest surprise for him was Kalen Kester’s win in the long jump.
