Barbara Louise Bahem

Barbara Louise Bahem, 72, of Rock Springs passed away Jan. 17, 2016 ,at Landmark Hospital in Murray, Utah, following a lengthy illness.

She was born on Oct. 4, 1943 in Kemmerer, the second child of the late Quentin Bahem and Ella Vickrey Bahem. She grew up in the LaBarge and Big Piney area and later moved to Rock Springs, where she spent the remainder of her life.

Bahem will be missed by her family and her friends that stayed in contact with her over the years.

Bahem was employed as a waitress for 30 years and later at Albertson's in the produce and bakery departments until her retirement.  

She had a quiet spirit and sense of humor and always added a splash of color to everything she touched. Her interests included spending time with her family and friends and she also enjoyed dancing, music and Elvis. Other interests included crocheting, sewing, the stock market and her trips to Nevada for the slot machines.

Survivors include one son, Brice Hatcher and wife Jamie of Gillette; two daughters, Cindy Willford and husband Michael and Lori Heitz and husband Floyd, all of Rock Springs; three sisters, Helen Weskamp and husband Carl and Tina Hammer, of Rock Springs, and Colleen Stefan and husband Darrold of Mesquite, Nev .; four grandchildren,  Lacey Dreben, Quentin Willford, both of Rock Springs, and Jackie Land and Jeremy Hatcher both of Gillette; two great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters; her former husband Victor Dale Inskeep of Rock Springs; several aunts, uncles cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ernest Bahem and former husband Jack Melhorn.

Cremation will take place and memorial services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs. Graveside services and inurnment will be announced in the spring. Friends may call at the Vase Chapel Saturday, one hour prior to services.
