Betsy Sue Peverley

 

Betsy Sue Peverley, 82, of Green River, passed away Dec. 25, 2015 at Mission at Castle Rock in Green Rvier.

She was born on May 22, 1933 in Rock Springs, the daughter of the late David Sidney Dillon and Amy Pewtress Dillon.

Peverley attended schools in Green River, and was a 1951 graduate of the Green River High School.

She married Guy DeWitt "Dee" Peverley and they later divorced.

Peverley worked for Sweetwater County for 42 years and was also the Sweetwater County Treasurer. She retired on Feb. 28, 1993.

Her interests were playing bridge and pinochle. She also enjoyed cooking and traveling.

Survivors include son David Peverley and wife Joyce of Green River, daughter Susan Peverley Roodell and husband "Swede" of New Richmond, Wisc., two grandchildren, Jessica Graham and husband Troy and Sean Peverley: six great-grandchildren, Ashlynn, Carter, Jaxon, Beau, Elliott and Jada.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Dean Dillon, David "Bill" Dillon and two sisters, Pearl Deck and Shirley Gaston.

Following cremation, a celebration of life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Vase Flaming Gorge Chapel, 263 East Flaming Gorge Way in Green River. Friends may call on Monday one hour prior to services.
