The vehicle attempted to turn west onto Monroe Avenue and struck another vehicle which was attempting to turn south onto Hitching Post Drive from Monroe Avenue.

No injuries were reported. Joy Gilbert, 62, Green River, was issued a citation for fail to yield right of way.

Officers responded to a welfare check on an individual, in reference the concerned party was trying to contact them but their phone was disconnected.

Animal control officers received a call of a hawk caught in plant netting on Wilson Street. Animal control officers were able to free the juvenile coopers hawk, which was OK and flew away.
