Joyce Ann Harper

Joyce Ann Harper, 54, of Rock Springs, passed away Oct. 16, 2015, at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs.

A resident of Rock Springs, Harper passed away following a brief illness.

She was born on April 25, 1961, in Flagler, Colo., the daughter of Richard Dale Ingersoll and Joyce Marie Leach.

Harper attended schools in Colorado and Wyoming and graduated from Wodlin High School in 1980.

She married Robert Harper in Rock Springs Feb. 22, 1986, and they later divorced.

Harper worked at Taco John's for two years.

She taught sunday school for her church and was a Girl Scout leader.

Survivors include her parents Alan and Joyce Saari of Painesdale, Mich .; son Daniel Harper of Laramie; two daughters Summer Harper of Mesa, Ariz. and Leslie Hower and husband Mark of Rock Springs; four brothers, Tim Sewell and wife Mandy of Rock Springs, Barry Ingersoll of Rawlins, Ronald Sewell of Las Vegas, and Dwayne Sewell of Rice, Minn .; two sisters Betty Morrison of Green River, and Dayla Ingersoll of Spokane Valley, Wash .; seven grandchildren, Daniel Duran, Michelle Harper, Kenzie Allen, Eddie Hower, Amaia Hower, Leighanne Harper and Urijah Harper and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by Richard and Betty Ingersoll, Sr., Richard Ingersoll, Jr. and R.B. and Ella Leach.

Following cremation a memorial service will take place at 10 a.m., Friday at Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs. Reverend Kay Grice will conduct the services. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Condolences may be left at http://www.vasefuneralhomes.com.
