Police Reports

The Green River Police Department responded to a number of calls throughout the last week, including:

Officers issued a traffic warning for speeding on East Flaming Gorge Way.

Officers were dispatched to an alarm on Maple Circle. While traveling to the address, officers were advised a proper alarm code was received for the residence, the property was checked and everything appeared OK.

VIN checks took place at the Green River Police Department.

Officers tagged a vehicle for a five-day parking violation on Upland Way.

Officers were dispatched to the Adult Green River Probation and Parole Office for an agency assist.

At the office, Officers contacted Daniel James, 28, of Green River, who was arrested on an arrest and hold order for a probation violation.

Animal Control officers met an individual at the animal shelter who released their dog to the shelter.

A 15-year-old male was arrested on an active District Court warrant for a probation violation. The person’s name was withheld due to his age.

Officers responded to a welfare check on a motorist on an undisclosed street. Officers contacted the motorist who stated they were having vehicle problems, but they were OK.

Officers responded to a report of a juvenile walking around the area for awhile and not in school. Officers contacted the juvenile who was home schooled, turned in a project and was OK.

Animal Control officers received a dog at large call on Clark Street. The dog returned to its residence and the owner was advised of the city ordinance.

Animal Control officers met an individual at the animal shelter who was interested in a pet adoption.

Officers checked on a motorist at 200 E. Teton Blvd., who ran out of fuel and advised they had help on the way.

Officers contacted an individual by phone for a citizen assist.

Officers responded to a welfare check on a dog on South Carolina Drive, that was reported to be without food or water. Officers checked the address and reported the dog appeared cared for had water and shelter.

Officers picked up a small brown dog with a purple and pink collar contained at an address on Adams Street. The dog was taken to the animal shelter.

Officers met an individual at the police department for an agency assist.

Officers responded to a report of a resident who saw an individual with a flashlight in the back yard of a neighbor’s home on Clear View Drive.

Officers checked the area, and were unable to locate anyone, the property was secured and appeared OK.

Officers responded to a barking dog complaint near South Carolina Drive. Initially officers checked the area and did not hear any dogs barking. Officers later checked the area, heard a dog barking and contacted a responsible party for the property.

The resident made arrangements for the dog to be put inside their residence.

Reid Rathbun, 33, of Green River, was arrested for alleged driving while under the influence, subsequent offense.

Officers contacted an individual at 1170 W. Flaming Gorge Way, in reference to boarding their horse.

Officers were out with individuals for work restitution on Bridger Drive and Uinta Drive.

Officers responded to a report of a dispute regarding a civil issue on Arizona Street.

Animal control officers received a report of an injured deer on Powell Street.

Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision on Davy Crockett Drive. It was reported a vehicle backed out of a driveway and collided with a parked vehicle. Officers completed a report regarding the incident.

Officers met an individual at the police department, who wanted an officer to talk to a child about the consequences of stealing.

Officers responded to a report of a larceny on South Center Street. The reporting party stated propane bottles and batteries were stolen from a camper.

Officers completed a report regarding the incident which is under investigation.

Officers were dispatched to an alarm on Iowa Circle. Upon arrival, officers contacted a responsible party for the property and determined the alarm was accidental.

Officers received a traffic complaint, in reference to a report of a vehicle driving recklessly in a parking lot at 350 Monroe Ave. Officers contacted the driver of the vehicle, who was given a warning.

A VIN check was completed on Juniper Street.

Officers responded to a report of a juveniles trying to take a sewer cover off in an undisclosed area. Officers contacted the juveniles and addressed the complaint.

A VIN check took place on East Teton Boulevard.

Animal control officers responded to a report of a dog at large on South Center Street.

A VIN check was completed on Birch Street.

Animal control officers met an individual at the animal shelter, who picked up their dog.

Officers responded to a report of an open door at an undisclosed residence, in which the reporting party thought nobody was home. Officers contacted the resident and everything appeared OK.

Officers posted a notice at an address for a nuisance property on Indiana Court.

William Libby, 57, of Green River, was arrested for alleged driving while under the influence.

Officers received a report of a suspicious person walking in a neighborhood near parked vehicles on Hillcrest Way.

The individual avoided the reporting party when they tried to contact them. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the individual.

Officers checked on an unsecured property, in which everything appeared OK.

Officers were dispatched to a 911 hang up call. Officers contacted an employee, checked the property and everything appeared OK.

Officers contacted a resident, in reference to a report of a hit- and-run vehicle collision on Wilkes Drive.

The reporting party stated their vehicle was parked on the street in front of their residence and was struck by an unknown vehicle, causing minor damage to the driver side. Officers completed a report regarding the incident.

Animal control officers responded to a report of a raccoon caught in a trap on Scotts Bottom Road.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a missing child. Prior to officers arrival, the child was found by their parent and was OK.

Officers were dispatched to an alarm on West Flaming Gorge Way. Officers contacted an individual at the property, everything was OK.

Officers responded to a citizen assist, in regards to a child and a dog locked in a vehicle at 350 Mansface Street. The vehicle was unlocked and the child and dog were OK.

Officers met with Wyoming Game and Fish Department, who contacted an individual regarding trapping in city limits.

Officers responded to a report of a fire hydrant leaking water on Conestoga Lane. It was determined work was being done in the area and the lines were being cleared.

Officers responded to the Adult Probation and Parole Office for an agency assist.

Officers were dispatched to an alarm at 840 Hitching Post Drive. Officers checked the property, contacted an employee who advised everything appeared OK.

Officers contacted an individual who reportedly had an argument with an individual at a separate, undisclosed address that led to physical contact. Officers completed a report regarding the incident which is under investigation.

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at an undisclosed address. Officers contacted the involved parties who had a verbal dispute.

Officers responded to a report of a hit and run vehicle collision on East Teton Boulevard.

It was reported a vehicle slid into a parked vehicle, which was pushed into a vehicle parked next to it.

The vehicle which caused the collision left the scene.

Officers later located the vehicle and contacted the driver, Tyler Wuolle, 19, of Green River, who was issued a citation for hit-and-run unattended property.

Officers completed a report regarding the incident.

Officers checked on an unoccupied vehicle at 1 College Way after hours.

Animal control officers contacted an individual by phone who had questions about kittens.

Officers were dispatched to an alarm at 515 E. Flaming Gorge Way.

Officers contacted an employee who advised everything was OK and the alarm was accidental.

Officers checked on a vehicle outside a business at 599 E. 4th S. St. after hours. The motorist advised they were traveling and pulled over to rest.

Officers responded to a report of a light on inside a vacant residence.

Officers checked the property which was unsecured, everything appeared OK and the property was secured.

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance on South Dakota Street. Officers contacted the residents who had a verbal dispute.

Officers responded to a report of juveniles throwing unknown items at vehicles on East Teton Boulevard.

Officers contacted the reporting party, no damage was noted to their vehicle.

Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the juveniles.

Officers responded to a noise complaint of people yelling and screaming inside a residence on North Wagonwheel Drive. Officers contacted the resident who advised they were cheering while watching a football game and would keep the noise down.

Animal control officers were contacted by an individual, who was looking for their lost pit-bull.

Officers previously received a call about a found dog. The individual was reunited with their pet.

Animal control officers were contacted by an individual looking for their missing dog. The dog had been found and picked up the previous day by Animal control officers.

The individual picked up their pet at the animal shelter.

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance, in regards to a group of individuals being loud outside standing around a vehicle on Cumorah Way. Officers contacted the individuals who were under the age of 21 and had consumed alcohol. Kathryn Ice, 19, of Rock Springs was issued a citation for underage consumption. Kelsey Moffitt, 18, of Green River, was issued a citation for under age consumption, a 17-year-old male and two 16-year-old females were issued citations for underage consumption and released to their parents.
