First community baby shower set

All pregnant women, new moms and parenting families are encouraged to attend the first Sweetwater County Community Baby Shower.

Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Sweetwater County Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition members are partnering with local early childhood and family service providers to present the first Sweetwater County Community Baby Shower. All local pregnant women and parenting families are invited to this fun and free event, which will take place at the Young at Heart Senior Center located at 2400 Reagan Ave. in Rock Springs.

This event is hosted to provide education, support, and information on the services available to you and your family in Sweetwater County. Exhibitors from more than 15 local early childhood and family organizations will provide information and giveaways to attendees. Join us for the information; and stay for a piece of cake and a chance to win one of our many raffle prizes.

The Community Baby Shower is a great way for pregnant women and new families to find out about all of the great local support available to them” event organizer Teresa Weyer said. “It’s truly a one-stop shop for local resources, organizations, and businesses that help pregnant women and new families in our community.”

The event is being presented by Parents as Teachers, Healthy Moms Healthy Babies, Community Nursing, Sweetwater County Child Developmental Center, College Hill Health Center, Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County, Family Planning, Sweetwater County School District No. 1, Sweetwater County School District No. 2, Inside Connections, Young at Heart, SW-WRAP, Wyoming Citizens Review Panel, WIC, Cent$able Nutrition, UW Extension, Medicaid, Maternal Child Health, Wy Health and the Wyoming Department of Health.
