Roger Sims Miller

Roger Sims Miller, 52, died July 30,2015 in Green River.

He was born June 13, 1963 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Lynn Miller and Margaret Sims Miller. He grew up in Clearfield and Sunset, Utah, Wheatland and Green River.

He graduated from Wheatland High school and then attended semi truck driving school in Colorado.

He was a veteran having served in the US Navy.

He was employed by Trimac Transportation Trucking, hauling helium.

He loved life and was always considerate of other people and very well liked. He was always there for anyone needing help. He loved his family whole heartedly, all his step- children and adopted son Devon. He has five siblings and loved being part of everyone's life.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

His interests were camping, fishing, watching NASCAR, boating, horses and had a wonderful singing voice.

He will sure leave a large hole in our family.

Survivors include wife "Jo" of Green River; mother Margaret Noble and husband Richard of Cora; son Devon Miller of Laramie; daughters Amber Kae Miller of Laramie, JoLee Thorpe-Miller of Green River; brothers Gary Miller and wife Bonnie of Emmett, Idaho, Eddie Miller and wife Teralee of Green River, Robert Miller and wife Tanya of Jacksonville, Fla .; sisters Lynette Lee and husband Lafe of Mt. Home, Idaho, Heather Yost and husband Tracy of Wiamea, Hawaii; step-children Justin Hansen, Lacy Hansen, Steven Howanietz of Jacksonville, Arkansas; grandson Jaxyn Mason of Laramie; uncle Lawrence Sims and wife Nancy of West Valley, Utah.

He was preceded in death by his father Lynn Miller, grandparents Eva and Edmund Sims, great-grandparents Elizabeth and Edmund Sims Sr., a grandson, cousins Thomas and William Sims; aunt and uncle Ethel and Fredrick Sims.

Cremation has taken place at Fox Crematory, Rock Springs. A celebration of life will take place at 3 p.m.  Friday at China Meadows, Stateline Dam, Mountain View. Condolences for family can be left at http://www.foxfh.com.
