Kenneth Lee Rodgers

Kenneth Lee Rodgers, 35, of Rock Springs passed away July 11, 2015 at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County .

He was born on March 28, 1980 in Williston, N.D., the son of David Gerg and Iris Killinger.

He attended schools in Casper, Green River and Rock Springs. He graduated from Roosevelt High School with the class of 1998.

He married the love of his life, Katie Lacquement, in Green River March 21, 2008.

Rodgers worked as a pipe fitter for 12 years.

His interests included fishing, hunting, guns, singing, being in the outdoors with his family and two huskies, Mischa and Luka, and playing guitar.

Survivors include his parents David Gerg of New Mexico and mother Iris Killinger of Green River; wife Katie Rodgers of Rock Springs; son Caleb Rodgers of Rock Springs; daughter Marissa Rodgers of Rock Springs; two sisters, Tara Brodersen and fiancé James Hyatt of Rock Springs and Erika Short and husband Luke of Rock Springs; nephews Jastin Short, Preston Short, Jeffrey Hyatt and Hudson Brodersen-Hyatt and nieces Jade, Teal and Holly Haselhuhn and Katie Hyatt; mother-in-law Mary Hyer of Green River, and one sister-in-law Jennifer Hardman and husband Jerry of Rock Springs.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Ruel and Veda Triplett; uncle Basil Triplett and aunt Priscilla Graham. A celebration of life took place Monday.

A memorial service with a celebration of life will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Providence Reformed Church, 1001 9th Street, Rock Springs. Pastor George Horner will conduct the services. Graveside services and inurnment will be conducted on Saturday at the McKinnon Cemetery in McKinnon.
