The Green River Bike Rides by the Sweetwater Mountain Biking Association are going again this summer. This week’s ride is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., starting in parking lot B at Scott’s Bottom, FMC Park. The weekly bike rides will continue through October, with weather permitting.

They initially started in 1999 when the Green River Tourism Committee wanted to promote Green River’s bike trails. Land use issues occurred during the process and plans were cut short. The group tried again in 2009, this time a success.
