Lorraine K. Legerski, 93, of Evanston passed away March 5, 2015, at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Evanston.

A resident of Evanston and former longtime Rock Springs resident, Legerski passed away following a lengthy illness.

She was born on Jan. 12, 1922 in Roundup, Mont., the daughter of the late Joseph J. Riedel and Mary DeShayes Riedel.

Legerski attended schools in Gebo, Superior and Thermopolis and graduated from Thermopolis High School with the class of 1940.

She married Michael Andrew Legerski in Thermopolis June 16, 1940, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 1999.

Legerski was a supervisor for J.C. Penny Company for 19 years until her retirement  on July 9, 1983. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community and Young at Heart Senior Citizens.

Her interests included bowling, bridge, traveling and spending time with family.

Survivors include one son, Donald Legerski and wife Judy of Lander; one daughter, Kathy Seale of Evanston; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Annie Walker and Edith “Bonnie” Legerski both of Rock Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Michael A. Legerski and one son Michael J. Legerski.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no services per her request.
