Crystal Classic well attended

David Chen carves away at an ice sculpture of Olaf from the animated film "Frozen" during the Crystal Classic festival Friday night.

The weather may not have been the best for the ice carving, but it sure helped the Crystal Classic's attendance.

"I thought it was amazing. It was the biggest turnout we've ever had. Every year just seems to get better," Green River recreation supervisor Katie Duncombe.

Duncombe said all of Saturday's events were really well attended. From the ice carving itself, to the ice-cube hunt, S'mores stations, horse-drawn carriage rides, snow boot softball, 5k run and horseshoes.
