Crystal Classic well attended

The weather may not have been the best for the ice carving, but it sure helped the Crystal Classic's attendance.

"I thought it was amazing. It was the biggest turnout we've ever had. Every year just seems to get better," Green River recreation supervisor Katie Duncombe.

Duncombe said all of Saturday's events were really well attended. From the ice carving itself, to the ice-cube hunt, S'mores stations, horse-drawn carriage rides, snow boot softball, 5k run and horseshoes.

The only event Duncombe would like to see improve in attendance is the soup cook off. This year, they had six entries which...
