Samuel Rolf Krmpotich

Samuel Rolf Krmpotich, 37, of Green River passed away Jan. 17.  A lifetime resident of Green River Krmpotich passed away suddenly.

He was born on Oct. 13, 1977 in Rock Springs, the son of Robert Stephen Krmpotich and Vicki Diane Carlson.

Krmpotich attended school in Green River and graduated from Green River High School with the class of 1997.

He worked for Tata Chemicals for five years. His interests included hunting, fishing, camping and being a mechanic.

Survivors include his parents Vicki D. Kwallek and husband Dan of Glenwood, Iowa and Robert Krmpotich of Green River; one daughter, Ashley Lynn Krmpotich of Round Rock, Texas; one brother, Bobby Krmpotich and wife Liz of Caldwell, Idaho; one sister, Kim Krmpotich of Rock Springs; grandparents, Bonnie Burgwin of Iowa and Jack Krmpotich of Rock Springs; stepbrothers and sisters Alaina Bolt and husband Shawn of Green River, Shauna Giles of Denver and Jay Patterson of San Antonio, Texas and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rolf Carlson, Jane Karician, Sam Karician, Bill Burgwin and Pat Krmpotich; step-mother Paula Krmpotich and step-brother Jess Patterson.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Riverview Cemetery in Green River. Gathering for family and friends will follow at the Union Congregational Church at 350 Mansface Street in Green River.
