The Green River City Council decided to change the job requirements for its city administrator position, allowing people who have equivalent experience in the private sector an opportunity to apply for the position.
Interim City Administrator Chris Steffen said the change was made to accommodate applicants who didn’t have municipal experience. The job will be advertised for another 10 days, with any applications submitted going to the hiring committee. Steffen also said previous applications wouldn’t be discarded after the change is publicized.
