The season is quickly coming to an end for the Green River High School tennis team.
While the team started their 2014 season less than a month ago, they will start the conclusion of their season this weekend at the regional tournament in Laramie.
Last Saturday, Green River concluded the regular season with match ups against Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central.
In the matchup against Central, Green River won two of five matches against the Indians.
Number two singles player Alexander Marchal picked up a 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 victory over Mark Menghini. The number-three doubles team of Cody Lee and Brendan Bloomquist defeated Snyder Boughton and Josh McLee 6-3, 6-2.The number-two doubles team of McKenzie Lucas and Isabel Leininger picked up the lone victory out of five for the Lady Wolves with a 7-5, 0-6, 6-4 win over Cheyenne East’s Quinn Marquardt and Sara Jensen.
Against East, the lone Green River victory was a 7-6, 6-2 win by Lee and Bloomquist.
