Officers gathered information and suspected the driver to be under the influence. Officers arrested Michael Mechling, of Green River, issued a citation for alleged DWUI - alcohol, transported Mechling to the Sweetwater County Detention Center, and completed a report of the incident. Officers also issued a citation to Nicholas Ledger for an alleged compulsory auto insurance violation - first offense.
June 1
At 10:23 a.m., officers responded to a report of found property. Officers collected a bag with clothing and pet items along with a laptop. Officers booked the items in for safekeeping and completed an incident report.
At 11:16 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop and issued citations to Doug Brooks for alleged speeding - vehicle superintendent's speed zone (6+ mph over) and a compulsory auto insurance violation - first offense.
At 12:39 p.m., officers responded to a report of larceny.
At 5:35 p.m., officers responded to the Union Pacific Railroad bridge at S 2 W Street and N 4 W Street. Officers observed the railing to have been hit head on by a vehicle as it was severely damaged on the first section and damaged the next three sections of railing. Officers gathered information and completed an incident report.

Officers met with individuals in the area who advised they thought the bangs came from an older truck driving north on E Teton Boulevard. Officers did not observe anything in the area to suggest any shots had been fired. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle and completed an incident report.
