Green River Police Department reports for Nov. 25

At 8:54 p.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious circumstance. Officers met with an individual who reported they found an object in their yard they believed could be a threat. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 11:24 p.m., officers conducted a field contact with a vehicle occupied by two individuals at Hilltop Baptist Church. The occupants of the vehicle were found to be consuming alcohol and one of the individuals was underage. Officers issued a citation for alleged underage consumption to Trevor Moser, of Green River. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

Nov. 26

At 5:18 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats/harassment. Officers met with an individual who reported issues with a custody exchange and requested a trespass order be issued to an individual. Officers attempted to contact the individual, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 8:21 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats/harassment. Officers met with an individual who reported receiving verbal threats from an ex. Officers met with both parties, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

Nov. 27

At 12:01 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to stop at a flashing red light on Uinta Drive. Officers met with the driver who was found to have a suspended driver’s license. Officers issued the driver, Clayton Vaughn, of Lucendale, Mississippi, citations for alleged driving while under suspension and obedience to traffic-control device violation. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 1:44 a.m., officers responded to a report of a structure fire at the Flaming Gorge Motel. Officers located an active fire in the alley behind the apartments, then observed smoke coming from the top of the door and flames coming from inside one of the apartments. Officers made contact with the manager who confirmed the apartment was unoccupied and used for storage. GRFD firefighters extinguished the fire and advised they suspected a heater element shorted out, causing the fire. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 3:08 p.m., officers responded to a report of a scam at The Busy Bee. Officers met with an individual who reported receiving an email from who they thought was a known friend asking for money to be sent by using gift cards. The individual sent photos of the gift cards back to the subject. Monetary losses were reported. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:11 p.m., officers responded to a report of an ambulance assist for an individual who was unconscious on E 3rd S Street. The individual was transported by ambulance to the hospital and officers completed a report of the incident.

Nov. 28

At 1:54 a.m., officers, while responding to a call, struck a deer that ran into the road on Highway 374. Minor damage was reported and the deer was dispatched. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 1:59 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats/harassment. Officers met with an individual who received a message submitted through a website that was threatening in nature. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 3:11 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision in the parking lot at Green River High School. It was reported one vehicle was traveling east in the driving lane headed toward the parking lot exit and another vehicle was traveling south through a parking lane and pulled out into the driving lane with the first vehicle, causing the passenger side of the second vehicle to strike the driver’s side of the first vehicle. Officers gathered information, issued a citation to the driver of the second vehicle, a juvenile, age 17, of Green River, for alleged inattentive driving with a crash, and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:33 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance on N 7th W Street. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

Nov. 29

At 11:57 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 12:31 p.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary on Colorado Drive. Officers met with the home owners who reported their home had been entered while they were out of town, and items were missing. It was reported their vehicle had been broken into while in Utah and their garage door opener and vehicle registration had been taken. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident, which is still under investigation.

At 1:08 p.m., officers met with an individual who reported suspicious financial activity of another individual at State Bank. Report to follow.

At 7:42 p.m., officers responded to a report of a suspected gun shot on East Teton Boulevard. Officers searched the area and were unable to determine what and where the sound came from. Report to follow.

At 9:01 p.m., officers responded to a report of a subject removal on South Wagonwheel Drive. Officers met with individuals involved in a verbal dispute. Officers gathered information, advised on the process of subject removals, and completed a report of the incident.

Nov. 30

At 8:14 a.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision. It was reported one vehicle was in the left turning lane on Uinta Drive, facing south in the intersection of Astle Avenue, waiting on traffic to turn east onto Astle Avenue. Another vehicle was traveling northbound on Uinta Drive, approaching the intersection of Astle Ave, with the intent to continue straight. The first vehicle initiated the left-hand turn as the second vehicle entered the intersection. The front corner of the second vehicle struck the front of the first vehicle. EMS responded to the scene and an individual was transported by ambulance. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:23 a.m., officers responded to a report of lost property at Smith’s. Officers met with an individual who reported a missing/lost purse. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:09 a.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active arrest warrant for a probation violation. Officers confirmed the warrant and placed Mikaela Inman, of Green River, under arrest, then transported Inmand to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 11:54 a.m., officers responded with EMS and GRFD personnel for an unresponsive individual on Bramwell Street. The individual was transported by ambulance and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 12:17 p.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious circumstance at McDonald’s. Officers met with an individual who reported they thought they saw someone point a firearm at another individual. Officers located and made contact with the individuals and confirmed it was a “Finger Gun” and no weapons were located.

At 5:29 p.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle vs deer collision at Jensen Street and Uinta Drive. It was reported the vehicle was traveling south on Uinta Drive in the left hand lane near the intersection when a deer walked into the roadway from the east side of the roadway and the vehicle struck the deer. Officers gathered information, moved the deer carcass out of the roadway, and completed a report of the incident.

Dec. 1

At 12:38 p.m., officers responded to a report of a citizen assist at Mansface Terrace. Officers met with staff who requested assistance with a former tenant. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. 

At 2:18 p.m., officers responded to a report of larceny on Tennessee Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported finding an unauthorized charge on their credit card statement. Officers gathered information, contacted the individual who had used the card, and completed a report of the incident.

At 3:53 p.m., officers responded to a report of a parking problem at Lincoln Middle School. Officers met with a Food Service Specialist for Lincoln Middle School, who called for assistance regarding multiple vehicles that were parked, and continuing to park, in the food service loading area on the south side of Lincoln Middle School. Officers gathered information, contacted the vehicle owners, and completed a report of the incident.

At 6:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Oklahoma Drive. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information, and completed a report of the incident.

Dec. 2

At 9:12 a.m., officers responded to a report of a runaway. Officers located the juvenile, who then returned home. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 10:23 a.m., officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Wilkes Drive. It was reported the vehicle was traveling east on Hutton Street approaching the intersection on Wilkes Drive. The driver was unable to stop the vehicle and slid through the intersection and the front passenger wheel impacted the east sidewalk on Wilkes Drive. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 1:32 p.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle collision in the parking lot of Green River High School. It was reported one vehicle was pulling into an angled parking space from the opposite direction of travel. The driver reported the vehicle struck a second vehicle as it was parked and unoccupied. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:29 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats/harassment. Officers received a copy of a threatening voicemail that was left on a City of Green River Department’s voicemail, gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 5:01 p.m., officers responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on West Railroad Avenue. It was reported one vehicle was traveling northwest on W Railroad Avenue and another vehicle was pulling into the roadway from the north side curb and struck the first vehicle. Officers gathered information, issued the driver of the second vehicle, a juvenile, age 17, of Green River, a citation for alleged inattentive driving with crash, and completed a report of the incident.

At 5:25 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats/harassment. Officers met with an individual who reported an individual has been harassing a family member and also posting threatening remarks on social media. Officers gathered information and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

Dec. 3

At 1:51 a.m., officers observed occupants sitting in a vehicle at McDonald’s and made contact with the two occupants. The driver of the vehicle was found to have a suspended Wyoming driver’s license. Officers gathered information and issued Adam Robinson, of Green River, a citation for alleged driving under suspension, and completed a report of the incident.

At 2:01 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance on River View Drive. Officers met with the individuals who were involved in a verbal dispute, gathered information and completed a report of the incident.

At 6:43 p.m., officers responded to a report of a child bitten by the family dog on Bramwell Street. Officers met with the owners of the dog, gathered information, confirmed a Rabies vaccination for the dog and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:31 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Monroe Avenue and Hitching Post Drive for having only one working headlight. Officers issued a citation to the driver, Melanie Johnson, of Green River, for alleged failure to provide proof of liability insurance.

At 11:58 p.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny on Scotts Bottom Road. Officers met with an individual who reported yard decorations were stolen, which were later located and returned. Officers also met with other homeowners who reported decorations being taken. Officers gathered information, returned some of the recovered property, and booked in a found wire cage deer that they were unable to determine an owner for. Officers completed a report of the incident.
