Softball team defeats Rock Springs

After their originally scheduled match was postponed due to inclement weather, the Green River High School Softball Team took on their rivals from Rock Springs last Wednesday, winning their conference match 13-8.

“The girls’ bats were on fire,” coach Blair Aimone said.

The Lady Wolves ended up with 12 runs in the first three innings and six extra-base hits, including a home run, throughout the game.

“The girls just rose to the performance,” Aimone said. “It’s always going to be a dogfight with Rock Springs.”
