Green River Police Department reports for Feb. 22

At 5:36 p.m., officers responded with EMS to a report of an unresponsive individual on West Teton Boulevard. The individual was transported and officers completed a report of the incident.

Feb. 23

At 5:33 a.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious individual at Castle Rock Ambulance Services. Officers met with CRAS personnel who requested to have the individual issued a trespass warning. Officers attempted to make contact with the individual and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:27 a.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active warrant at the intersection of Monroe Avenue and Uinta Drive. Officers met with the individual, confirmed the warrant, and placed Christopher Larson, of Green River, under arrest per the warrant. Officers transported Larson to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:38 a.m., officers responded to a report of a small fire beneath a trailer on Uinta Drive. It was reported a heat gun was being used to thaw out some frozen pipes when a piece of insulation caught fire. The fire was extinguished, no injuries were reported, and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 4:23 p.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle that was taken on East 4th South Street. It was reported the vehicle was towed from the property by the co-owner of the vehicle. Officers determined the incident to be a civil matter and completed a report of the incident.

Feb. 24

At 6:47 a.m., officers responded to a report of property damage on Juniper Street. Officers met with the reporting party who advised the taillight on their vehicle had been broken. Officers determined the property damage was not caused by a criminal act, but by the freezing temperatures. Officers completed a report of the incident.

Feb. 25

At 7:39 a.m., officers responded to a report of a hit and run on East 2nd South Street. Officers met with the reporting party who advised their vehicle had been hit sometime during the night. Officers observed the damage to the vehicle and located pieces of the suspect vehicle. Officers searched for vehicles matching the pieces found at the scene but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 2:36 p.m., officers responded to a report of found drug paraphernalia. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they had located several needles while cleaning out a vacant property. Officers collected the needles for disposal and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 4:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny on Sunset Street. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they had property stolen by an acquaintance. Officers met with the reporting party and gathered their statement as well as a description of the missing items. Officers completed a report of the incident. This case is still under investigation.

At 4:33 p.m., animal control officers responded to a report of barking dogs on Hillcrest Way. Officers met with the reporting party who advised the dogs had been barking continuously and that animal control had been called several times in the past and the barking had not been improved. Officers left a notice on the owner’s door and completed a report of the incident.

At 4:38 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Monroe Avenue. Officers met with the involved parties who advised they had been in a verbal argument. Neither party had any injuries and stated that they had calmed down and would be okay for the remainder of the night. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 4:54 p.m., officers responded to a report of suspicious circumstances on Maryland Drive. Officers met with the reporting party who advised they believed someone had broken into their house and slept in the basement. Officers gathered their statement and completed a report of the incident.

At 6:22 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual needing medical assistance at Ponderosa Bar. Officers met with the reporting person and completed the agency assist. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 10:41 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of East Teton Boulevard and North Riverbend Drive and determined the driver had a suspended license. Officers issued the driver, Samantha Duckworth, 27, of Bradenton, Florida a citation for alleged driving while under suspension. Officers completed a report of the incident.

Feb. 26

At 12:18 a.m., officers responded to a report of a runaway juvenile. Officers met with the juvenile’s parents who advised they had not heard from their 15 year old daughter since she was dropped off at school Friday morning. Officers were advised later in the evening that the juvenile was safe and had returned home. Officers then met with the juvenile and her parents and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 4:05 p.m., officers responded to a report of a juvenile being in possession of tobacco products at Veterans Park. Officers met with the work restitution supervisor who advised that a juvenile under their supervision was in possession of a tobacco vape. Officers spoke with the juvenile who admitted to having a vape. Officers confiscated the vape and issued the juvenile, 14, of Green River, a citation for alleged use or possession of tobacco by minor. Officers turned the juvenile over to their parent and completed a report of the incident.

Feb. 27

At 12:46 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Hitching Post Drive and Connecticut Place and issued the driver, Tate Davis, 36, of Green River, a citation for alleged expired or improper registration.

At 6:49 p.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing on North Center Street. Officers met with the reporting party who advised their security cameras had just caught someone in their backyard looking into their house. They advised the suspect had taken off running and they chased them down. The suspect stated it was a misunderstanding and he was at the wrong residence. The reporting party advised they would like the suspect trespassed from their property. Officers located the suspect, issued them the trespass warning, and completed a report of the incident.

Feb. 28

At 5:40 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual causing a disturbance on Cliff View Drive. Officers met with the individual and subsequently placed Whitney Santhuff, of Green River, under arrest for alleged disorderly conduct. Officers transported Santhuff to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 6:33 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with individuals involved in a verbal argument and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.
