Troy Colby

Troy Colby, 58, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He died following a lengthy illness.. Mr. Colby was a resident of Rock Springs, Wyoming for the past thirty years and former resident of Gretna, Nebraska.

He was born on December 4, 1962 in Hastings, Nebraska; the son of Larry Colby and Mary Schiable.

Mr. Colby attended schools in Gretna Nebraska and was a 1981 graduate of the Gretna High School. He attended and received his certification from Western Wyoming Community College in Electrical Instrumentation and journeyman electrician.

He married the love of his life Linda Lemke on April 25, 1987 in Gretna, Nebraska.

Mr. Colby worked for Solvay for six years as an journeyman electrician.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, camping, snow machining, four wheeling and hunting.

Survivors include his parents, Larry Colby and wife Mary; his wife, Linda Colby; one son, Cache Colby; one daughter, Katelin Colby all of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one brother, Brent Colby of Palm Springs, Florida; as well as several aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Orral Colby and wife Hazel; his maternal grandparents, Ed Schiable and wife Jo.

Cremation will take place; there will be no services at his request.
