Green River Police Department reports for Oct. 5

At 7:58 a.m., officers responded to a report of a possible assault. Officers met with an individual who reported an altercation between two unknown subjects. Officers did not locate either subject involved in the altercation and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 9:02 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats or harassment. Officers met with an individual who reported receiving threatening text messages from a known individual. Officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 9:54 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual who unintentionally entered the wrong residence at the Flaming Gorge Motel. Officers met with the individual and completed a report of the incident.

Oct. 6

At 9:44 a.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism at the Embassy Tavern. Officers met with an individual who reported finding damage to the window of their vehicle, which had been parked and unoccupied. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 10:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a damaged paper towel dispenser at Green River High School. Officers met with the suspected individual, issued a citation to the juvenile, 14, of Green River, for alleged malicious mischief, and completed a report of the incident.

At 11:37 a.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism on East Teton Boulevard. Officers met with an individual who reported that someone has been stealing or destroying their business signs that are posted around town. Officers completed a report of the incident.

Oct. 7

At 4:51 p.m., Animal Control Officers responded to a report of two dogs at large that were acting aggressive on North 4th East Street. Officers located and impounded one of the dogs, made contact with the owner, issued a citation for alleged animal at large to Jennifer Edwards, 49, of Green River, and completed a report of the incident. 

At 6:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism at Family Dollar. Officers met with the store manager who reported finding spray paint on the back side of the building. Officers completed a report of the incident.

Oct. 8

At 11:48 a.m., School resource officers responded to a report of two students using a tobacco device at Green River High School. Officers met with the suspected students and subsequently issued citations to two juveniles, 16 and 17, of Green River, for alleged use or possession of tobacco by a minor. Officers completed a report of the incident. 

At 2:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance at Fawn Circle. Officers met with the individuals involved in a verbal dispute and completed a report of the incident.

At 3:19 p.m., School Resource Officers responded to a report of a student using a tobacco device at Green River High School. Officers met with the suspected student and subsequently issued a citation to the juvenile, 17, of Green River, for alleged use or possession of tobacco by a minor. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 4:11 p.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny at Performance Overhead Doors. Officers met with an individual who reported the catalytic converter had been stolen off of their vehicle. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 5:48 p.m., officers responded to a report of vandalism at Green River High School. Officers met with an individual who reported damage to their vehicle, which had been parked and unoccupied. Officers completed a report of the incident.

Oct. 9

At 1:06 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Birch Street. Officers met with the individuals involved in a dispute, the parties were separated, and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 1:23 a.m., officers responded to a report of property damage on Adams Street. Officers met with an individual who reported their door was damaged during a dispute. Officers made contact with the involved individuals, who had already separated, and completed a report of the incident.

At 6:08 a.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny on West Virginia Place. Officers met with an individual who reported several gallons of fuel were reportedly taken from their vehicle by an unknown suspect. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 5:59 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of West Flaming Gorge Way and North 1st West Street and issued the driver Nathan Surbeck, 27, of Green River, a citation for alleged inattentive driving.

Oct. 10

At 12:35 a.m., officers responded to a report of a barking dog on Logan Street. Officers met with the owner of the dog, advised of the complaint, and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:37 a.m., officers responded to a report of a missing person. Officers met with an individual who reported a family member missing. The individual, 77, was located and transported. Officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 6:03 p.m., officers responded to a report of domestic violence. Officers met with an individual who reported a known individual had made threatening remarks towards them during a verbal dispute. Officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

Oct. 11

At 9:57 a.m., officers responded to an emergency school safety drill at Green River High School. The evacuation and relocation drill was completed successfully.

At 1:29 p.m., Animal Control Officers responded to a report of barking dogs on West Virginia Place. Officers were able to locate the dogs and attempted to make contact at the residence. Officers posted a notice.

At 3:11 p.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious person at West 2nd North and North 7th West. Officers met with an individual who reported an individual loitering and chasing after vehicles. Officers attempted to locate the individual and completed a report of the incident.

At 7:01 p.m., officers responded to a report of property damage on Uinta Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported finding damage to their vehicle, which was parked and unoccupied. Officers met with several individuals in regards to the damage and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:55 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance on Wilderness Trail. Officers met with two individuals involved in a verbal dispute and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:19 p.m., officers responded to a report of a violation of a protection order on Bridger Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported being contacted by an individual with a no contact order. Officers contacted the individual and completed a report of the incident.
