City purchases police cameras

Six police vehicles will get outfitted with cameras after approval Tuesday night by the Green River City Council.

The cameras will be purchased from Motorola Solutions, Inc./WatchGuard Video for $31,050. The vehicles will be outfitted with an in-car video camera which Council documents state will be used for “evidentiary recording purposes.”

The packages to be installed include a high-definition video camera, touch screen display, a 200 GB automotive hard drive and a 32 GB removable USB thumb drive. The video system will also be able to capture and recover video from an incident days after it...
