Green River Police Department Reports for July 7

At 12:56 p.m.,officers responded to a report of a protection order violation at the Green River Recreation Center. Officers met with the individual and advised of the protection order. The individual left and officers completed a report of the incident.

At 7:59 p.m., officers responded to a report of lost property on North Riverbend Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported a lost wallet. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 8:27 p.m., officers responded to a report of a found wallet at the GRPD building. Officers returned the wallet to the owner and completed a report of the incident.

At 10:08 p.m., officers responded to a report of a burglary on Arkansas Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported that their vehicle had been rummaged through, no items were reported as missing. Officers completed a report of the incident. 

July 8

At 9:40 a.m., officers responded to a report of a larceny on Alabama Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported their vehicle had been burglarized and that items were missing. Officers completed a report of the incident. 

At 11:40 a.m., officers responded to a report of property damage on Uinta Drive. Officers met with an individual who reported the passenger side rear window of their vehicle had been broken out by a rock thrown by a weed eater while they were driving by. Officers met with the employee who was using the weed eater and completed a report of the incident.

At 1:12 p.m., officers responded to a report of a noise complaint on Upland Way. Officers met with the individual causing the disturbance and issued a warning for disturbing the peace. Approximately two hours later, at approximately 3:05 p.m., officers were dispatched back to the address for a subsequent complaint. Officers subsequently issued Allie Hyde, 65, of Green River, a citation for alleged disturbing the peace. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 4:21 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active arrest and hold order. Officers placed Kevin Alan Hickson, 26, of Green River, under arrest, transported him to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

July 9

At 9:50 a.m., officers responded to a report of an assault that happened in the past. Officers met with the reporting party to document the incident. Officers completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 8:59 p.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had hit a deer near the intersection of Iowa Avenue and Virginia Drive. Officers observed damage to the vehicle and completed a report of the incident. 

July 10

At 6:06 p.m., officers responded to a report of civil issues regarding custody on Expedition Island. Officers spoke with both parties and completed a report of the incident.

At 9:11 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and issued the driver, Jose Hernandez Cazares, 36, of Green River, a citation for alleged no valid driver’s license.

July 11

At 9:40 a.m., officers responded to a report of trespassing on Logan Street. Officers met with both parties and advised the suspect of the trespass warning. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 12:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of vehicle vandalism on Expedition Island. Officers met with the reporting party who advised their vehicle had been keyed. Officers observed the damage to the vehicle and completed a report of the incident. No suspects have been identified at this time.

July 12

At 5:43 p.m., officers responded to a report of an individual with an active arrest and hold order at the Green River Probation and Parole Office. Officers met with the individual and placed Hayden Riggs, 21, of Green River, under arrest per the arrest and hold order. Officers transported Riggs to the Sweetwater County Detention Center and completed a report of the incident.

At 6:24 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats. Officers met with the individual being threatened and completed a report of the incident. The GRPD did not release the address officers responded to.

At 9:34 p.m., officers responded to a report of calves that had been fed alfalfa at the city’s rodeo arena, which was causing them to bloat. Officers met with the owner of the calves as well as the individual who had fed them. The parties were able to work out the situation. Officers completed a report of the incident.

At 11:39 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of West Teton Boulevard and Monroe Avenue on a vehicle and issued the driver, Jaqueline Gutierrez, 19, of Green River, citations for alleged failure to display valid license plate, validation stickers, or permits and failure to provide proof of liability insurance.
