Joseph L. Hyatt

Joseph L. Hyatt, 72 passed away on November 9th, 2020 at the University of Utah Hospital.

Joe was born in War, West Virginia on February 27, 1948. He moved to Wyoming in 1978 where he resided in Green River and the Bridger Valley where he worked as an Underground Miner, he loved Wyoming. Joe served in the 1st Calvary Division of the US Army and fought in Vietnam from 1966-1968. He was instrumental in setting up outreach programs for veterans in Southwest Wyoming and developed several long lasting friendships while working with other veterans. Joe had a witty sense of humor and enjoyed giving his friends and family a hard time.

He is survived by his Children Jerry Hyatt of Zephyrhills FL, Earl Hyatt of Stansbury Park, UT and Melissa Hyatt of Green River, WY. Sister Faye Dinnauer of Oconomowoc, WI, Aunt Shirley Katusich, and Uncle Roy C Hyatt. Grandchildren Amanda Hyatt, Billy Hyatt, Christopher Hyatt, and Austin Rhodes. Great Grandchildren Skylar Hyatt, Adayln Reid and Cara Rhodes.

Joe resided in Florida and Nevada for the last several years where when he wasn't fishing he could be found playing a slot machine or two. A Celebration of life will be held later in the summer.
