Work towards new plant continues at federal level

More details about a new soda ash plant project near Green River have emerged as work continues with state and federal agencies.

The site is located west of the Flaming Gorge Reservoir and will utilize a solution mining process. The company behind the project, Pacific Soda LLC, is conducting core hole drilling in the area. A Research and Development License application through the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality’s Land Quality Division is in its public comment phase, which will run through August.
