Swimmers win Sublette Co. meet

It was another week the Wolves were unable to travel east for competition.

Weather-related travel problems forced the Wolves to travel to Pinedale for a meet with Evanston, Kemmerer, and Sublette County.

"It's been a tough season," head coach Colleen Seiloff said. "We really haven't seen anyone (from the eastern side of the state) since early in the season."

The Wolves have been prevented from participating in meets east of Green River because of the winter weather impacting travel plans. Seiloff said the situation is disappointing, but was happy to have her swimmers compete in Sublette County over the weekend.

The Wolves won the meet, however meet results were unavailable as of press time due to winter school closures impacting their release Monday.

Seiloff said the boys are swimming tired, but have maintained competitive times.

The Wolves will have a chance to face Laramie and Kelly Walsh this weekend at the conference meet Green River High School will host. Seiloff said she's looking forward to hosting the meet, which will give the Wolves a home pool advantage. She's also looking forward to seeing Laramie and Kelly Walsh compete.

"We're looking forward to swimming against them," Seiloff said.
