District, city hall pass records test

A recent public records audit initiated by the Green River Star reveals Sweetwater County School District No. 2 and the Green River Finance Department were extremely helpful in releasing requested information and provided assistance in helping understand the data.

The newspaper’s intern, Lexi Mitchell, approached different government offices in early June and sought data available to the public through Wyoming’s public documents act. In this case, the newspaper sought tentative budget information from the city, county and school district.
