Art was born Jan. 18, 1953, to Arthur and Francis (Martinez) Pacheco in Rock Springs. He spent his childhood in Green River and went on to graduate high school with the class of 1971.

There he met his wife Donna Grubb. They had one daughter, Lynn. This marriage was later dissolved. He met Becky Dinger and they had two sons, Travis and Amos. Their relationship ended on July 23, 1980. He married Darlene Pierce, who had a son, Jason, and together they had Brandon. After eight years of marriage, they divorced. Some days he ran equipment and some days he worked at the garage and some days he drove a garbage truck. He later moved to Yakima, Wash., where he picked fruit, pruned trees, and worked at Cascade Lumber.

After returning to Green River, he started working in the mines. He worked at Stansberry Coal Mine in Rock Springs. He was later employed by FMC Corporation, roof bolting in the trona mines and retired after 35 years. His illness led him to Delta, Colo., where his sister Audrey cared for him.

Arthur enjoyed his time with family and friends, fishing, camping, being outdoors, leather work, playing bingo, and traveling to Wednover, Nev., to gamble, but his greatest love was the electric guitar, which his father left to him.
