Walter Richard (Dick) Bennett, 87, passed away surrounded by family April 9, 2019, at the University of Utah hospital. He was born June 17, 1931, in Green River, the son of William E. Bennett and Ann Bennett (Anstee).
He graduated from Rock Springs High School with the class of 1951. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After the war, he married his sweetheart, Loretta Mills, in Elko, Nev., Nov. 8, 1955, and the settled in Rock Springs. They celebrated 37 years of marriage before Loretta's unexpected death in 1992.
