Ruth Izatt Beck

Ruth Izatt Beck, 74, of Green River, passed away March 15, 2019, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Evanston.

Ruth was born May 29, 1944 in Soda Springs, Idaho, the daughter of Charles C. and Loa June Peterson Izatt. She was the oldest of five children and attended schools in Idaho where she graduated from Grace High School with the class of 1962.

She attended Utah State University, receiving a bachelor of arts in history and later earned multiple teaching certificates through the University of Wyoming.

Ruth married Ronnie Alyn Beck June 14, 1968, in the Logan, Utah temple.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society, Young Women and Primary auxiliary programs and was actively involved with the local chapter of Days for Girls.

She had a passion for family, education, reading, quilting, embroidery, family history and gardening. Ruth loved spending time working and laughing with her family. She was generous and charitable to everyone she met and shared her talents through teaching and giving.  

Survivors include her husband Ronnie of Green River; children Larence Charles and wife Sharity of Lyman, Victoria (Beck) Peterson and husband Rex of Nampa, Idaho, Nicole, widow of Alyn Ronnie of Las Vegas, Edward Scott and wife Brianna of Fairview, Sarah Lynn of Alexandria, Va., Elizabeth (Beck) Krmpotich and husband Robert of Caldwell, Idaho, Joseph Christian and wife Amber of Sahaurita, Ariz., and Stephen Andrew and wife Anna of Hurricane, Utah; brother David Izatt and wife Terri of Elko, Nev .; sisters Molly (Izatt) Zobell and husband C.E. of Bartlett, Tenn., and Loa Dawn Izatt of Shelley, Idaho. She treasured her 28 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles Izatt, son Alyn Ronnie and granddaughters Kacia Marie Peterson and Ivy Renae Beck.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center, 120 Shoshone Ave., in Green River.

A viewing will take place from 6-8 p.m., Friday at the church and 9:30-10:30 a.m., Saturday prior to the services.

Interment will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
