Ed Taliaferro remembers finding his son Ramsey often wanting to play catch when Ed came home from work. After hearing a radio advertisement announcing tryouts for the Casper Rockies baseball team, Ed said Ramsey wanted to try out for the team. Ramsay was about four or five years old at the time.
When the Taliaferros moved from Farson to Green River when Ramsey was eight years old, Ed said he thought it was a dream come true for his son, who finally had the opportunity to play organized baseball.
