Magic discovered at the library

Harry Potter fans flocked to the Sweetwater County Library for it's annual Harry Potter event.

Once children walked through the doors of the library, they were given the Marauder's Map, which showed them what path to take to make it through the library.

The children then made their way to the Sorting Hat to determine which house they will be in at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff or Slytherin. What the children didn't know was how they were sorted by the hat was determined based on which house button they picked up.

After the children were sorted into their houses, they had to make their way to Ollivander's and pick out a wand. For some, making this decision was easy, while others had a harder time of it. Some children would stand there picking up every wand and flicking it to test it first, while other children just grabbed a wand and went to the next station.

At the gaunt shack, students had to figure out which potion they had to use to reverse a spell. Some figured it out right away, while others just pulled out potion after potion until they got it right.

Children then went through a maze and read books before proceeding to Gringott's Bank, where they learned to make their own golden galleon.

With a galleon in hand, the children made their way to Ravenclaw Tower to decipher a code so they can move onto the Ministry of Magic, where they filled out identification cards, by putting their photo, finger prints and signature on them. This was the hardest station for most kids because the had to get through Dolores Umbridge, a villain in the book. She would send the children out of line if their cards were not filled out right.

Next, the children had to defeat Nagini, a snake, by cutting off the head of a gummy worm.

With all their training, the kids were ready for a final battle where they used their wands to cast spells on the villains to save the day. The children then proceeded out of the library.
