Paul Wyant

Paul Wyant, 78, passed away Aug. 21, 2018, at his home in Green River surrounded by his family. He was a resident of Green River for 37 years and is a former resident of Kittanning, Penn.

Wyant was born on June 16, 1940, in Kittanning, Penn., the son of Thomas James Wyant and Martha Emily Claypool.

He attended schools in Kittanning, Penn.

Wyant married Barbara Ann Bowser Dec. 31, 1964, in Kittanning, Penn., and she preceded him in death Oct. 14, 1989, in Pennsylvania. He later married JoAnn Gold on Aug. 22, 1992 in Eden Valley.

He was a huge supporter of the NRA, Muley Fanatics, White Mountain Archers and the Ducks Unlimited.

Wyant worked as a miner at the Texas Gulf Mine for 14 years and he retired in July 1999.

He enjoyed spending time with family, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife; JoAnn Wyant of Green River; three sons, Thomas Paul Wyant and wife Anita Poignee of Rock Springs, James Renyolds Wyant and wife Erin of Green River and Robert William Wyant and wife Tracy of Green River; two step-sons, Gary Ruiz and wife Nanette of Green River and Daniel Ruiz and wife Lynelle of Topeka, Kan .; one daughter, Janine King and husband Joel of Green River; one step-daughter; Joanna Orton and husband Greg of Green River; one brother, James Arthur Wyant of Kittanning, Penn .; one twin sister, ElvaJean Westlake of Kittanning, Penn .; 16 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 13 step-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Wyant was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Barbara Ann; and one sister-in-law, Judy Wyant.

Following cremation, a Mass of Christian burial took place Friday.
