Laura Ellen McCarty, 40, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018, in Rock Springs. She was a resident of Rock Springs for the past three months and former resident of Oregon.
She was born on July 11, 1978, in Santa Maria, Calif., the daughter of Logan Lange and Donna Beaman.
McCarty attended schools in California and graduated from Arroyo Grande High School with the class of 1996. She also attended University of Phoenix and Westerns Governors University and earned her bachelor degree.
She was married to Jeremy McCarty in Prinville, Ore., Aug. 21, 2010.
McCarty was employed by Teton Distributors and worked in administration for the past one month.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Her interests included camping, fishing, cooking and four-wheeling.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Jeffery Baca of Oregon, Logan McCarty and Auzlynn McCarty, both of Rock Springs; one daughter, Vidahlia Baca of Rock Springs; two brothers, Logan Lange and Danny Lange, both of Oregon; and one sister, Chantale Benbrahin of California; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Davalina; and one brother, Donny Lange.
Following cremation services will be held at a later date.
