Larry Arnold Gillingham

Larry Arnold Gillingham, 75, passed peacefully in his sleep after a short illness July 12, 2018. He spent his last days at home surrounded by his family.

Larry was raised in Richland Center, Wisc., on his family's farm.  In his late 20s, he and his family moved to Wyoming to attend LaGrange Bible School in pursuit of a ministerial degree. His love of wide open spaces and hunting endeared him to Wyoming for the rest of his life.

He enjoyed spending time on the lake fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was known for his excellent craftsmanship in carpentry and spent his working years as an independent contractor. He approached his life's work as a way to serve others through Christ Jesus. His greatest love was his personal relationship with his Lord Jesus Christ and sharing his love of Christ with others.

Larry married Sarah Allbaugh, Jan. 9, 1968, in Madison, Wisc. This year they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They successfully raised six children: Matthew Gillingham (deceased) and his wife Stephanie of Greeley, Colo., Timothy Gillingham and his wife Fernanda of Provo, Utah, Jeffrey Gillingham and his wife Danette of Prather, Calif., Joy Thompson of Wichita, Kan., Rachael Ayers and her husband Kenneth of Mead, Colo., and Faith Diaz and her husband George of Pinecrest, Fla. He is survived by 13 grandchildren; two sisters Arleta Marx and Anita Steineck; one brother, Jerry Gillingham and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Allen Gillingham, his oldest son, Matthew Gillingham, and both of his parents, Leonard and Mildred Gillingham.

A celebration of Larry's life took place Wednesday. Condolences for family can be left at http://www.foxfh.com.
