Wolves soccer finishes 3rd

 


Falling short of their goal to take the state title this year, the Green River High School boys soccer team still showed they were a strong squad in Jackson.

The boys took third at State, finishing behind Cheyenne Central and the championship team from Natrona County High School.

The Wolves started the tournament with an explosive 4-0 win over Cheyenne East, the fourth-seeded team from 4A East. Cheyenne Central would earn a hard-fought shootout victory over Kelly Walsh, leading to a confrontation with the Wolves in the semifinals.
